Lords of Eternia was Business of Games project where we were given the task of designing a game and doing a greenlight pitch for it. The idea was to assume the role of a company and approach the greenlight pitch with the same risks and assumptions from the point of view of the company we were assigned, such as core competencies of our company. After giving a basic overview of what were were designing, we were given a target budget.
Again I found myself in a leadership role on this assignment. I was excited to really delve into the business side of game design and really wanted to create a convincing pitch for a very marketable game. I feel we created a very viable business model for today's free-to-play centered market.
We were also asked to do a budgeting breakdown to show where and how money would be spent while developing Lords of Eternia.
