This is a series of floating islands I've made for my upcoming indie game, Ascend by Bearhammer Fortress llc. The goal was to hit a super low poly almost abstract artstyle with minimalist 3D art. As such, I strived to convey as much as I could through shape language and silhouettes.

This is my first foray into PBR workflow. this piece has a polycount of roughly 35k and uses a set of maps using metal/rough workflow at 4096x4096. This piece was based off concept art by Kekai Kotaki, a concept artist for Guild Wars 2.
